About Woodstock Elementary School

Mission Statement:

Woodstock Elementary School is committed to provide a positive environment in which students advance academically, emotionally, physically, and socially in a challenging learning environment. We will continue to integrate STEAM and provide personalized instruction to meet the needs of learners in a culturally responsive setting to maximize learning in the 21st century.

“Rich In History, Building For A Bright Future”

Although the city of Woodstock has become a progressive, fast-growing suburb of Atlanta, Woodstock Elementary School has remained the community school for more than 100 years. Woodstock Academy was established in the 1880’s, even before the city charter was granted. An early building at a site near our old school facility soon became overcrowded, and a new school was built at the location near the center of Olde Towne.

Due to the rapid growth of our community, we moved into a new, larger facility that can serve 1,100 students in grades K-5. We made this move school year 2004-2005 with 750 students and currently enrolled more than 1,100.

Currently, Woodstock Elementary remains a K-5 school, enrolling new students everyday.
