Clatrina Lane, Principal

Clatrina Lane

Mrs. Lane has been an educator for 26 years. She graduated from Norfolk State University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She earned her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and her specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University. Mrs. Lane previously served as a first-through fourth grade teacher. In addition to this, she has served as a reading and math interventionist, grade-level lead, school behavior coach, MTSS administrator, and school improvement literacy coach. She also holds endorsements in ESOL and Reading.  

Mrs. Lane enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She grew up with seven sisters and one brother. Mrs. Lane has two children, Korbin and Madison, and has been married for 27 years. She loves hiking, movies, and traveling.  

Mrs. Lane is honored to serve the Woodstock community. She is an avid educator who believes in educating the whole child. One of Mrs. Lane’s favorite quotes is, “In a world where you can be anything….be kind.

 

Yolanda Torres English, Assistant Principal

Yolanda Torres English

Mrs. Torres English has been an educator for 38 years. She graduated from Hunter College with a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Science in Education, and New York Institute of Technology with a Master of Science in Instructional Technology.  She earned a Certification in Educational Leadership from UGA, in 2006.

Mrs. Torres English began her career in education as a high school mathematics teacher in New York City, in 1987.  She was also a grade advisor and college counselor in New York City. She moved to Georgia in 2003, and began working for CCSD in 2004.  She was a school counselor before becoming an Assistant Principal in 2006.

Mrs. Torres English enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Torres English has two daughters, Talisa and Talya, and has been married for 31 years.  She loves animals and currently has two dogs Roscoe and Nala.

Mrs. Torres English proudly continues to serve the Woodstock community. One of Mrs. Torres English’s favorite quotes is by Maya Angelou, “People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.”

 

Kacie Reed, Assistant Principal 

Kacie Reed

Mrs. Reed is a dedicated educator with 19 years of experience in education and a passion for supporting student success and instructional excellence. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a degree in Educational Leadership. Throughout her career, Mrs. Reed has served students and staff in both Fulton County and Cherokee County as an elementary classroom teacher and Instructional Lead Strategist. She also holds endorsements in Coaching and Reading.

Mrs. Reed is passionate about building strong relationships with students, families, staff, and the community to create a positive and collaborative school culture. She is excited to continue to serve the Woodstock community and looks forward to partnering with all stakeholders to continue elevating the excellence at Woodstock Elementary.

Outside of school, Mrs. Reed enjoys spending time with her family and friends and cheering on her children at their sporting events. She and her husband, Brady, have been married for 16 years and are proud parents to their three children: Peyton, Cam, and Emerson.

 

Emily Chaffer, Assistant Principal 

Emily Chaffer

Mrs. Chaffer has been in education for eight years. She holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Kennesaw State University and a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Kennesaw State University. She has also earned endorsements in Reading, ESOL, Gifted Instruction, and Teacher Leadership. Throughout her career, Mrs. Chaffer has previously served as both a third grade and fourth grade teacher, where she developed a passion for creating engaging learning experiences and supporting the academic and personal growth of every student.

In her free time, Mrs. Chaffer enjoys reading, working on puzzles, and building LEGO creations. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She has been married to her husband for seven years, and together they have one daughter, Penelope, who brings great joy to their family.

Mrs. Chaffer grew up in Woodstock and is especially excited for the opportunity to serve the community that helped shape who she is today. She is honored to give back to the area that played such an important role in her life and looks forward to building meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues while making a positive impact in the community she proudly calls home.
