Woodstock Elementary School Principal Ann Driver

Why did you choose to become a Principal?
As a classroom teacher, I found so much joy in having an impact.  As I grew in the profession, I realized there was a greater opportunity to impact student achievement as an instructional lead strategist serving teachers.  Serving teachers inspired me to want to do more as a leader.  As a principal, I get to orchestrate all the beautiful instruments that make the school perform. 
 
What inspires you in your work as a Principal?
Every morning, when I greet students at the door and see them so excited to get in the classroom and become learners, gets me excited.  It humbles me each and every day knowing that every classroom has a teacher who is as excited to teach as the students are to learn.

How are you Elevating the Excellence in your school?
At Woodstock Elementary, we are elevating the excellence by meeting the needs of all students through small group instruction and setting goals for learning.  We are integrating STEAM activities, while becoming experts at teaching the standards with rigor.  We are building relationships that foster a love of learning and pursuing excellence.  Woodstock Elementary School fosters and enhances partnerships that allow the best opportunities for all Wildcats.
